Finca San Pedro –La Milagrosa is from the Monroy family, who cultvate and harvest the coffee with passion. About half of the 40 hectares, is being used for coffee,the other half for watermanagement, forest and grassland for their 4 donkeys.
The eldest son is the responsible person for the coffee production, planting and replanting. When the coffeeberries have been picked, they are transported to the fermentation tanks. Coffee is fermented during 20 hours, washed and dried.
During the harvest people in the area are contracted for picking the berries and processing the coffee. The plantation is in the mountains, with a beautiful view and a good microclimate for the coffee plants, warm days and cool nights.

Because of the special accomodation of the workers, the good processing of coffee and the sustainble control of agriculture and watersources we can speak of a technological advanced plantation.
The water being used for processing comes from a spring in the forest, near the plantation. The soil is protected by planting trees, the coffee is grown on terraces. For dryin a special greenhouse has beenbuilt, with an elevated concrete floor to prevent contact with animals and insects.
